Leadership Development Workshops

Reflective Leadership Practices

My Reflective Leadership Practices workshop helps leaders build the self-awareness and reflective skills needed for thoughtful, values-aligned decisions. Grounded in research on reflective practice and adult learning, the session offers a structured space to step back from daily demands and examine how beliefs, experiences, and context shape leadership choices.

During the workshop, I introduce practical reflection methods leaders can realistically maintain: short debrief routines, guiding questions for journaling, and protocols for reflective conversations with colleagues. Participants explore recent leadership moments - both successful and difficult - and, with support, identify patterns in their responses. I connect these insights to the broader ecological systems around them, such as organizational culture, community expectations, and policy environments. The session balances individual work with guided dialogue, so participants can learn from one another without feeling exposed or judged. I model specific question types leaders can bring into supervision meetings, coaching discussions, or team debriefs to cultivate reflective practice across their organization.

By the end of the workshop, participants have a personal reflection plan, a set of questions they can return to during complex decisions, and concrete strategies for embedding reflection into regular routines. Leaders often report feeling calmer, more grounded, and more intentional in how they respond to challenges after engaging this work.
